Intgiestrne, Matthew: in my reading this morning in Dt. 14-15 it gives instructions for what Israel is supposed to do with its tithe. The produce tithe was to be stored up for two groups of people: the Levites (temple workers and priests) and the poor. I wonder if this is not a NT parallel where Paul talks about providing for the poor and also church workers. Dt’s rationale: Levites have no inheritance. Paul’s rationale: workers are not able to earn money because they are serving the church.

At least the Black and Native American farmers got their settlement. It sucks to be a white unev&achieder(Ir#39;m looking at Mrs. Palin). If you cannot find a way to prosper in a country that for centuries has reserved all of its liberties and privileges just for you, and to the exclusion of everyone who didn't look like you, then you have every right to be bitter because you have missed that boat. But be clear that it's not the fault of black, brown or red people.
